Marcus du Sautoy OBE visits Bacon’s College
What an incredible morning! Marcus arrived at 08:30 sharp on 28th June, and addressed an audience of 60 Gifted & Talented students from Bacon’s College (Rotherhithe), the winner of the May Mathematics Games League. After presenting medals and certificates to some enthusiastic mathematicians, Marcus gave a fascinating talk about prime numbers, involving the students in a game of ‘Prime Number Hopscotch’ among other activities. Students finished the morning with lots of new ideas, and the ability to communicate with aliens! Thanks to Carl & Ian and everyone from Bacon’s for arranging this great event.
